Sgt Slaughter Drilling in Wrestling
Coming out of the military and stepping into the rings is the 6'6 tall man weighing in at 320 pounds. This mean-drilling machine not only trained his soldiers with the bout of persistence and hostility, he also showed his true colors in the wrestling arena.
This man is a menace to wrestlers, yet a spill of fun to the fans, since when he first stepped into the rings in 75' coming from Minnesota ; he has yet to be defeated. Slaughter (Robert Remus) is also known as the Beautiful Bobby, yet when looking at this man you would think of fright knight in shining armor.
Bobby is notorious for pulling out the Cobra holds and clutches that submits his opponent. Sgt often wears combatant clothes in the ring, including jungle camouflage, sergeant hat, and black boots and tights. Outside of the ring, this maniac looking wrestler has an ordinary voice, yet in the ring, you would think he was still in the army barking orders.
Sgt is one of the WWF Champions, until he lost the belt during a bout. Thus, his behavior during 91' leads him to the Los Angeles Stadiums, since McMahon feared that he was the target of annihilation. McMahon based his decision on Sgt's Kuwait attack in the ring. Sgt made his first debut in 80, left and returned to the rings in 90.' Sgt was also a World Champ in the AWA matches. Furthermore, Sgt made it to the Hall of Fame records coming from WWE. Thus, this champion made such a statement that he became the very first child toy, known as G.I. Joe.
What brought Sgt from the military to the matches?
This four time Heavyweight Champ took to the rings after coming from the military, since his physique, and ability to control was in his nature. Sgt took to the ring and fans well, thus after joining wrestling, Sgt was deemed and voted in as the up most championship wrestlers in the Pro Wrestling History. This man attracted other attention by showing his courage in the rings, including attracting the attention of four presidents, thus he accepted the invitation to visit the White House. A flag flew over the N. Capitol as a recognition of the Sgt's triumphs. Yet, Sgt not only inspired the White House leaders, including Bush, Clinton, Carter and Reagan, he also inspired thousands of children around the world.
As you can see, this powerful man may not have the looks outwardly, but he is a beauty inside. Therefore, Beautiful Bob fits him well. Bobby also donates and devotes his time helping those research diseases, while promoting a campaign to eliminate drugs. Thus, not only is he a wrestler this wonderful man is a fundraiser that helps children around the globe.
I am not a wrestling fan, however at one time I enjoyed occasional wrestling matches, especially back in the 80s. After learning more about a few wrestlers with Sgt at the top, I decided that this man is worth viewing and for his outstanding actions and behaviors, and protecting our country, for this I Solute you Sgt!
At one time, I was an inspired fan of Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, but today Sgt has made it to the top, however I will not forget my favorite brawlers. Andre the Giant should have made a name more powerful in the world of wrestling than what he did, since not only did this man battle the enemy, he also battled internally fighting a disease that would claim his life. He fought until he died.
