More about the Erich's in Wrestling

Jack Adkisson better known as Fritz Von Erich is one of the older wrestlers in the industry. Jack married Doris , however the two separated in 92, leaving six children torn in a single home. Mom had already joined in the training, thus helping David, Kevin, Mike, Kerry, and Chris Von Erich follow Fritz's footsteps.

Fritz Von Erich was a former college football player, i.e. star, and started playing for the Texas Dallas team. Fritz also worked as a promoter, working with the leading members of the NWA. He promoted wrestling in Texas , which later he formed the Fritz WCW. Fritz was commonly familiar to the crowds as a villain, thus sometimes known as the Nazi Sympathizer.

Fritz had several titles, which included the TBK ( Texas Brass Knuck), the Tag-teamster World NWA, (taking this title with Hermann), the Heavyweights of Texas, (Keomuka helped earn this title), the Heavyweight of American NWA title, (holding thirteen times), and the American Tag again, which Grizzly helped him earn the title. Fritz also held the American NWA taking the title with Miller at his side, and the Tag American NWA title, along with Curry. Fritz took the Tag America with Ho also, as well as the IC Tag. (Killer Karl Krupp accompanied Fritz to take this title)

Fritz continued his wins, taking the 6-Man Tag World Title, as a team with his sons, Mike and Kevin.

Fritz Von Erich lived a long life in wrestling; however, his family members suffered fatalities, which wiped out the Von Erich's. Still, there names live on in the world of wrestling:

Mike Von Erich, the son of Fritz Von Erich, Jack Adkisson (the most popular wrestler in the history of the world of wrestling) struggled to meet his father's demands it appeared. Mike was the sixth child, yet he was the survivor of five, since his brother Jack was electrocuted and died at the tender age of six.

Mike Von Erich managed to hold four-times the WCCW WSMTT title. Mike took on some wins thereafter, however a few incidents set him back, including injuries, and an attack of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) This attack nearly claimed Mike's life. Mike struggling to recover from the attack never meet the rings again since not long after, Mike overdosed, committing suicide, thus dying. Other members of the family followed pursuit in Mike's fatal occurrence, i.e. Kerry and Chris both died by suicidal purposes thereafter.

Kerry Von Erich apparently was addicted to painkillers, which after frequenting the jails; he put a gun to his head and killed his self. Kerry was 33 when he died, and Mike was 23. This family seemed to think suicide and drugs was the way out. Mike died by overdosing on Tranquilizers.

Mike was the smallest and less sufficient wrestler in the wrestling matches, yet after his brother died, Mike struggled hard to live up to his family legacy, including his brothers name. While Mike wrestled, another incident befell the Erich's family. David Von Erich while traveling to Japan fell to his death. David was the better wrestler between the two boys, thus after his death Mike strived to win in the rings. This took Mike into fighting hard to live up to David's good name.

Many people thought that the Von Erich's (Adkisson) family had a curse on them. Yet, it seems to me that they put a curse on them self by engaging in harmful substances.

What drove these men to their grave? It seems that the father's high demands had something to do with it, since the father planned to build on the WCW, creating an empire and thus he planned to use his children to achieve in his plans.
